JAKES ROCKS

Jake's Rocks Overlook is a perfect drive-through overlook experience. The access road leads to parking areas with spectacular views of the Allegheny Reservoir and the Kinzua Dam.

Jake's rocks is located off Forest Road 160, portion of Longhouse National Scenic Byway and FR 492. Short paved paths (1300 feet north vista (lessdifficult) and 330 feet (most difficult) to south vista provide reservoir scenic views. This is a favorite rest stop for snowmobiles enthusiasts in winter season, with accessible vault restrooms available.

The picnic area offers 15 tables and 7 outdoor grills, potable water and flush restroom facilities.

RIMROCK OVERLOOK

Rimrock Picnic Area and Overlook is an impressive recreation facility constructed in 1964, and refurbished in 2000. Magnificent cliffs of light-gray sandstone and conglomerate create a dramatic setting to view the Kinzua Creek arm of the allegheny Reservoir situated hundreds of feetl below.

a 2.5 mile black top road leads from Pennsylvania State Route 59 into Rimrock area. this access road is a favorite for Cross Country ski enthusiasts, since it retains snow longer into the spring . Mountain Laurel bloom throughout this area in early June. From that provides access to awesome rock formations. this trail is quite steep, but worth the trip. (Degree of difficulty=most difficult)

The picnic area offers 20 tables and 12 outdoor grills, and vault restroom facilities. Restrooms are accessible for people with disabilities.

TIDIOUTE OVERLOOK

Tidioute Overlook provides dramatic views of the Allegheny river and the town of Tidioute from tow vantage points. the Allegheny River was designated as a national Wild & Scenic river in 1987, and is very popular for fishing and canoeing.

The Tidioute Overlook is licated off of Township Road 3005 (locally known as 337). there is a gravel surfaced walking path that leads to the two viewpoints. This area is closed during winter season. (Degree of difficulty=more difficult.)

The picnic area offers 3 picnic tables and pedestral grills, and accessible vault restroom facilities.
